no f-ck that stuff
The sleepers they peddle now are all pretty similar, I know too many people who have had bad experiences, Ambien, Lunesta, Sonata. Even if you sleep, you had best not take them for more than a few days. Does something to your REM sleep as I understand it.
Humans run on a diurnal cycle. In English, this means when it is light, your brain says wake up. To set your internal clock, you have a bright light on your face. For example, if you are going to Israel, and it is like 14 hours different, you can set your clock to Tel Aviv the day before you go, and you will be less jet lagged when you get there, same thing coming home.
+1 to the melatonin and not sleeping in the daytime. If you are tired, go walk around the block, do calisthenics, whatever. If you can, exercise in the morning, if you exercise too much at night it revs the old motor and takes more time to sleep. Watch your caffeine, avoid it late in day.
