On the other hand, We could have no solar flare activity. Sun has an 11 yr cycle, but hey, If its round and generates gravity, it has a weather cycle.

I wonder how Global Warming, I mean climate change was affected during the little ice age. There was little to no solar flare activity recorded at this time. Called the Maunder Minimum.

Webb says sun spots and solar flares having anything to do with climate change was debunked a long time ago.

When exactly does someone become a non-parenthetical expert to you?

Those "experts" as you call them are drawing on an extraordinarily high resolution knowledge of the sun, being examined more than almost anything else in the world, as well as thousands of years of actual direct observation (not the secondary stuff like the climate scientists are using). If this isn't enough raw information and knowledge to make someone a full fledged expert, than what does it take?

"Experts" are too thin-skinned.

Right. Or us "drive-by internet smart-asses." Hmmm, should "us" be parenthetical, too?

There is no "us" in "them"...but there is "us" in "pus".

What does that say about "us"?

Apparently, solar activity is part of the mix used by the almanac people to forecast weather.

Also, we are protected by intense radiation by the earth's magnetic fields. Flying high altitudes near the poles is limited during these events.

It's only "me," which might be part of "them," only "I'm" just looking in a mirror.

Fair question. I'd have left off the parentheses had I known specifically who the "experts" were. Some of the info I was referring to I heard on TV shows. Other info I read on conspiracy theory websites. So yeah, those "experts" get the parentheses....because really, who are they? I wasn't referring to the (non-parenthetical) experts at NASA or any other specific group.
