I did learn English from watching TV.
No dubbing here, only subtitles.

Learning English is one of the things that is possible. Just don't expect real life to be remotely like anything seen on American TV.

even with a snow hole he was going to have a problem in those conditions. heavy wet snow makes finding fuel for a fire a real problem. what did he figure on eating for a week? fish? sorry for his family but this guy was a dope, killed by his own arrogance.

hell, i can survive snow... i've done so many times before
the solution is actually quite simple, go to the Apres-Ski pub, and get wasted.

Stupid, yes, but still devastating for his family...

Sheesh, learning survival skills from a TV show...

I've gotten pretty extensive survival training in the military.

A lot of what you see on survivorman is absolutely rock solid advice and could very well save your life.

a bivy sack and sleeping bag would have added a couple of pounds and potentially saved his live. He could have still dug his snow cave and had his "survivor" moment. I am fine with minimalistic but the guy was nuts for going out alone unprepared.
