The car's run without a hitch so far. I was considering dropping it for a more practical year-round car but it was doing fine all winter until this blizzard. Can't fault the car for that, though.

A rule of thumb, "don't ever drive a car you care about in winter". I have a beater for the rotten months and the "good" cars are absolutely without question off the road from the first snowfall to spring (which I define as having had three good rainfalls to wash all the salt, sand and other crap off the roads).

Driving a car in winter conditions is a death sentence.

Which is why the M Coupe has barely moved in weeks. The Solstice is the expendable one. Really, I don't see winters as the complete nightmare most people do - good tires, wash it once a week (including under carriage) and most cars are good to go, imo.
