So sorry Vinnie.

May he RIP.

Vinny,

So sorry to read of your loss.
May you find the strength to get through this.
Look after your Mom. She is going to be hurting even more, blaming herself for not doing what you did, calling 911.

Hold on to each other.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Les

Which the aZZholes neglected to diagnose. My mother had been pleading with them all day to do something. (She finally called me after a couple of hours , then i shot over to the home. ) And when they did think that he might have a "problem", they called for a medical transport instead of a regular ambulance through 911. A fact that they outright lied to me about. It took the transport almost an hour and a half to get there. When I walked into his room, he couldnt breathe, had aspirated and was coughing up red fluid. I immediately called 911 and had the paramedics there in under 4 mins. The transport arrived about a half hour after the medics did. He passed on the way to the hospital.

Needless to say, I am besides myself.

Sounds like what my FIL went through a couple of years ago. I'm sorry for your loss. Best wishes for all your family.

Sorry Vin. I hope after you come to terms with his loss that the home will be punished for their mistake, it doesn't sound as if they deserve to be taking care of anyone.

Watched my grandpa die in a nursing home last year..... The thought of getting old and having to live in a nursing home sucks. I hope you and your family can get through the following days without too much stress.

azasadny 03-12-2010 04:34 AM

Death is nothing at all
I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I, and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other
That we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes
We enjoyed together.

Play, smile, think of me, pray for me,
Let my name be ever the household word that
It always was.

Let it be spoken without effort,
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolutely unbroken continuity.

Why should I be out of mind because I am
Out of sight? I am but waiting for you
For an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner .

All is well.
