On Bustleton ave, just north of the city limits in Feasterville. Cannot remember the name of the place. They had 4 of them, and an 870 express riot gun for $245.00

Red Dot on a shot spoon?? Why not!!!!!

With cylinder bore you need a red dot? Do you have vision problems?

m21sniper 03-23-2010 05:25 PM

The red dot gives you 24 hour day/night targeting.

A red dot is also good for longer ranges, especially with slugs. I bet a good red dot would add between 5 and 10yds to the effective range of a slug throwing smooth bore vs a single bead sight.

Besides, it looks cool! :D

targa911S 03-23-2010 05:26 PM

With a cylinder bore and 00 buck you could clear a room with yer eyes closed!

m21sniper 03-23-2010 05:28 PM

He might need to clear a room across the street though. ;)

Seriously though. In a low light hunting condition, using slugs, or even buck...out around the max range of the spoon, a red dot can make a real difference.

targa911S 03-23-2010 05:29 PM

not with an 18" barrel he won't. I mean it's cool and all but....just sayin'

Super_Dave_D 03-23-2010 05:36 PM

Come on don't turn it into a hater thread - it looks cool and there is a lot of interesting reads on the spread of buckshot. Besides - it was 26 bucks on Amazon!

David, I'm not bustin' on ya seriously. Just screwing around with ya.

Sorry yer from my home state. that's screwing with YA'LL.

If i end up getting one of those $265.00 Rem 870 Police pumps i'm almost definitely gonna take the Fastfire off my P7 and put it on there.

They sell a super slick stock spacer mount for it. I think the HUD will line up a lot more naturally with a long gun.

It looks pretty badass on my AR with a riser mount. Gotta remember to take some pix next time i'm swapping around optics and messing with the AR config.

With the carry handle rail mount i can have 3x day/night targetting systems at once. Laserlyte red laser, tritium iron sights and the Fastfire. The PS-55 looks much cooler though, so i just leave that on there. It works great anyway. :)

Yeah I know, but it's all good fun. I'm not a shotgun snob, I just know what I like.

Na man I like that stuff too - I just cant afford to do everything and have that stupid 911

m21sniper 03-23-2010 09:55 PM

Same here. Juggling an apt, bills, an antique V-8 porsche and a love for guns while on workers comp is not easy.

I wanna buy one of those Rem 870 Cop pumps BAD...but...no deniro.

I took the 18" Mossberg in post 4 skeet shooting and got 8 of 20, granted, not good but I hadn't shot a shotgun since I had a 18" Stevens 77 back when.

Don't feel bad about that. I shoot 20 out of 25 at trap all day but I really suck at skeet. I wouldn't do much better than you with the best gun on the planet. I don't know why.

berettafan 03-24-2010 05:18 AM

long bbls help swing through for sure. i'd be pretty impressed with myself if i hit 8/20 at skeet with an 18" shotgun of any sort.

berettafan 03-24-2010 05:29 AM

Dave, Snipe i'm right there with ya. My guns for the most part were accumulated pre-Porsche. Have done some trading around in the past but never sold one outright w/o replacing immediately. really is tough to just pick one obsession.
