Nice. You can't beat a classic. I have one very much like it, and it works every time.

I need an over under soooo bad.

targa911S 03-13-2010 11:50 AM

Saw a nice SKB 600 O/U today in 20 ga. A bargain at $695.00.

m21sniper 03-13-2010 12:45 PM

I cant swing any new $700 shot spoons when i'm on Comp. I was drooling on an 870 Cop magnum the other day for $265 and had to put it back. Fixed income and all....i just cannot justify the expense until i can work again. :-/

stogie25 03-13-2010 05:23 PM

12 gauge spoons are cool. I use my 500 mostly for home defense, and my o/u for birds.

Mossberg makes a fine, dependable, reasonably priced shotgun. I have a couple of great 20ga's. One is at least 35 years old (bolt action) with the adjustable screw choke on the barrel and a magazine. Both guns have proven to be very reliable and accurate. Just ask the doves and quail.....
You scored very well! :>) Could your family talk to my family??

I got a Russian made (Baikal) Remington Spartan 310 O/U. For $450, it's a decent gun and of equal quality to $700-1000 O/U shotguns. Unfortunately, Remington only sold them for two years.

When I wear that out, I'll probably get myself a Browning Citori.

targa911S 03-13-2010 10:32 PM

I'm tellin' ya ...you guys are over looking SKB's. Under rated and under valued. Excellent guns.

I'm sorry legion but a baikal never was and never will be close to a $700 -$1K gun. It will last forever because it's so over built, typical Ruski gun. But in the $700 to $1K range there are a lot of much better shotguns. For what you paid you got a good gun, It's a $500 gun though. No offense intended.

A nice Winchester 101 goes for $1k. See what I mean

porsche4life 03-14-2010 06:34 AM

My next scatter spoon will be a citori with interchangeable chokes.

I've got a bt99 in the safe. Tis not mine sadly. And it has a STUPID release trigger on it. How much to remedy that issue?

Leland Pate 03-21-2010 12:16 PM

I have a 12g Belgium Browning Superposed that I use for easy country bird hunting and a SKB Model 600 for skeet.

Here's an iPhone shot of the Browning during Pheasant season here last year.
