I was in Tijuana last week and the only problem I had was with a US Customs jerk.

I was in North Philly last week and had no problems.

But over 400 people were murdered there last year.

Any individual one time, "Bah nothing happened," is pretty meaningless as a useful barometer, don't you think?

60+ murders this past weekend in Juarez, alone, including 2 Americans.

It's worse than Philly. Population is about the same, 1.5 Million.

LOL, wow. That's pretty bad!

Philly had 686 last year- only slightly less!

do you realize how much revenue is brought down for the (3) SCORE races???

275 race teams(san felipe 250 last weekend) X a hell of alot of pesos-dollares.

sal fish el prezidente of SCORE has some pretty hefty payments to landowners for race access. if anymore racers are hassled/mugged/robbed/ripped off..............baja is going to see a plummeting tourista dollar amount that will hurt everyjuan. its a shame because it is BREAK THE FUN BARRIER FUN, but hey what the hell is yer life worth to pit/race/watch?

until they get a grip on the corruption in the rank and file militars/federales/polizia/mayors/councilman etc. nothing is gonna change.

just today i read in the az republic that 20K is being offered to take a load of goodies across the border.

20K to a mexican living in baja may as well be 5 million dollars!

Reported on the News today: 4700 murdered in Juarez since 2008. That is a bit above Philly.

We're at about 1500ish in the same time frame.
