Flying Mercury Bicycle

We found an old wood rim bicycle at my work the other day but are having little luck finding information on it.

the badging on the front reads Flying Mercury, Chicago

I know there are alot of bike riders on pelican so I though I would ask for some help

I added photos below

here is the crest (online photo)
This is the only information I can find

Thanks

Very rare bike. Used in racing. Just saw one on the pickers show. They may have the show on line. American pickers. It's worth around 250 - 500 from what I gathered from the show.

Looks like it might have been made by Cleavland Bicycles, not a racer, cost a lot to restore it, I haven't bought tires for one of those for a few years but they used to be real expensive. Maybe mid teens, Not one of the expensive bikes of the time.

I wouldn't get too excited, I think the badge is the most worthwhile part. But then, I stopped collection those bikes ten years ago.
