Did you HUG your Crank today?
Hello, I’d like to take this opportunity and share with the HP Junkies my latest trip to Europe, if needed please delete or move otherwise enjoy.
This was during a crankshaft replacement onboard a cruise ship Type 12V TT 8700 KW Output Cylinder Bore 380MM Cylinder Output 725KW/Cyl RPM 600 Old Crankshaft out New one on the way to engine room   On the way to engine with new crankshaft  New shaft placed under block prior to lowering the engine block to oil sump (oil pan)  New Crankshaft installed along with the main bearings  Engine down    Crankshaft view inside the engine counterweights installed

I guess with an engine that size when you drop the nut for the connecting rod bolt it's not too hard to find

Wonderful pictures. I always enjoy seeing out of the ordinary mechanical systems.
