Yesterday, Ayrton would have been 50

Miss him

Edit: I also miss the racing from back then. And, am I really that old?

Yeah, we're all getting up there. Scary, if you think about it. You can't turn back the clock but the racing in those days was much better and the cars certainly looked a lot nicer.

I'd almost rather watch a vintage F1 race, if they would put decent drivers in the cars.

Hard to believe I've been listening to Bob Varsha for the better part of 25 years.

I'll always remember him utterly dominating the entire sport in his McLaren Honda V-10 back in the 80s.

Miss him too

I have a B&W photograph of him in my living room that a friend took so I'm always reminded.

My son was born a couple days after Ayrton's death so it was a time of great sadness and happiness in our household.

1994 was the first season of Formula 1 that I can remember watching. I was a kid.

I remember the Imola race very distinctively.

Agree and the old stuff they were real drivers. Now with the traction controls, auto gearboxes it takes a lot out of it.

Started watching Jimmy Clark in the early to mid 1960's. Watching those guys go around Monaco was a real delight.

I was traveling in Brazil often when Senna died. The sense of loss there was tremendous. Watching the BBC Bahrain GP race last weekend, one of the commentators - Martin Brundle, I believe - stopped mid-sentence when he saw Bruno Senna in a car. He said those eyes were too familiar.

I watched his death live in the wee hours of the morning, LA time. Just like Earnhardt Sr., it's still very haunting that I witnessed such horrific racing history.
