Lube, don't ya love it when a government buys something on price and promises only?
We recently bid a mapping job for a small city close by. Our bid was much higher than the company that did the job. The other company used equipment that was never designed to do that job. The final product was crappy. Now the same city want us to prove we can do the job properly. Sheese. I am sure your company could have provided any additive they needed. Most likely the oil comes from the manufacturer with everything it needs.

It would have been nice if the city had called up an independent technician to audit the maintenance schedules on the vehicles. He/she could have noted that an additive is not likely to prevent more damage than it costs.

We are now providing them a product to clean up the mess that this created. We have also put them on a nice oil analysis schedule. This was an obvious case of back room dealings and greased palms.
