How Long have You Had Your Porsche

Coming up on my 5th year of Porsche ownership has caused me wonder how long most people keep their Porsches, or, if most tend to buy and sell repeatedly; any comments?

Mike

I've owned my 1970 914/6 since 1985. 25 years.
In that time it has had 6 engines.
2.0 original
2.4 "S" mfi
2.7 Webers
2.2 "S" Webers side shift trans A,F,M,S,X
2.7 "RS" spec with Webers
2.7 "RS" spec with Solex cams
Original engine and trans sitting on the floor.

Over the years every time I went on vacation, I sold the engine to paid the tap.

I go through toys quickly. I've moved on to Ducati.

I have thought about picking up a 84-89 Carrera.

5 1/2 years. It is still a major thrill every single time I get behind the wheel.

'96 coupe: 3/09 to present.
