Already in PARF, but this is so rich it goes beyond PARF in absurdity. Congressman Hank Johnson of Georgia fears Guam will tip over if we send 8,000 marines there. I am amazed the Admiral didn't just walk out of this congressional hearing...

If we strategically deploy some heavy-duty skyhooks, we can hold the island up under the extra weight of these Marines. As you all know, the US is a world-leader in skyhook technology. This is also an excellent opportunity for economic stimulation in the impoverished nation of Guam.

Thank god no one said we're not going to hell in a handbasket...or that the country is flushing down the toilet...or that the economy is in the gutter...

Because if anyone said such a thing, the web would be aflutter with people taking pictures of gutters and claiming that the economy couldn't fit there, and OMG LOL what an idiot for saying such a thing.

There is no way his words were misinterpreted by anyone other than those on a "damage control" mission.. If you listen to his lead up and eventual conclusion there is no doubt he was confused. Old age and illness may mitigate the issue but if he is truly that confused (I believe he is) then perhaps he should take a sick leave and allow people without a metal impairment make our critical financial decisions. He couldn't even come up with "narrow" and a synonym for narrow other than "least widest". This bonehead has got to go. Let see: He replaced Cynthia McKinney, another arrogant, liberal "genius" so what's next? Perhaps the winner of "Are you smarter than a 5th grader"?

I guess this thread wasn't humorous on its on merits without some people needing to shed tears about their political heroes being treated unfairly. Pity. I sat here laughing at the video clip with a few of my colleagues and we never even brought up this fool's political affiliation. I guess we're not as sensitive as some of you guys.
