Swords are cool....

You guys are wimps about snakes, I like the fact that they eat rats & stuff, there are a few in the barn down at the farm where I store a lot of my Porsche stuff,

snakes are valuable and interesting creatures

snakes that can easily kill humans are not well liked

in fact, chimps hate snakes too - biologists have conducted experiments where they put fake snakes along chimp trails - really causes a lot of angst in chimp society
- we probably have a genetic basis for aversion to snakes - they are about the only creature that can go up a nice safe tree (where our monkey ancestors used to hang out all the time) and kill...

Australia has the world's highest diversity of poisonous reptiles - enjoy your visit

A cutladd is like a machette but the height of the blade is about 2 inches at the handle mostly flat but with a bow at the sweet spot , thicking to about 4", way better for hacking bush than a machette, the crew killed another BM last night at the start of shift and one of the helpers got stung by a scorpion last night too, they are slow and he is ok , saw the medic , got a shot of a pain killer and went back to work. fine in the morning.
Was going to work in Austrailia a few years back till I talked to a chopper pilot from there, after his snake stories I was happy where I was. some seriously dangerous snakes there.
there are also 330 pound leapards here, had 2 scary moment with those critters, 1 with a female and 2 small cubs, I'd have been dead if she came for me, for the most part they are timid but if he's hungry - your just another meal
