Continue with pressure.
If it doesn't stop after say 10 minutes, go to the hospital. (I do actually have combat first aid training, lol) |

If it's really going, pressure has to be continuous -- 10 minutes, no let-up. Using a towel with ice will also help.
If it's bleeding that much, sounds like you've bought some stitches, though.

Are you taking asprin or other asprin based med? It will slow down clotting, so is not an aid here.
