Sorry Jyl, you're not in the cool kids club. No PM's for you!

I got one too. Read the first sentence and my eyes rolled up so hard I heard them click.

Who should go back to Whoville and stop spamming the rest of us with his stupidity.

I wanted to just let sleeping dogs lie, but evidently this whole thing is far too "important" for that.

I don't know who "who" is. He joined the forum (as anyone is allowed to do), tried to post but his posts were automatically moderated by the system. He then felt compelled to PM some people (including me) about his "concerns" about the whole drama. I believe his account has been (or will be) deleted, as the mass PM spam is not kosher.

That said, this whole "drama" is getting really tiresome. I don't need any more PMs from people, so here is my take on this. I will delete any other threads that keep this whole drama alive. Some (myself included) tried to diffuse things with humor, but for some this is "serious." So I'll offer my take.

1. We (the mods) tend to take a mostly hands off approach here and let people self-regulate. This has historically been approved and found desirable by most of the community.

2. We do not control what goes on at other BBSs.

3. People to some extent reap what they sow. If people want to be constantly provocative, incendiary, and largely insensitive then they should expect blow-back.

Feeding into the drama is how this stuff propagates. Paranoia is usually in people's mind. Hence the name.

The mods at the other forum controlled the situation there immediately.
