We were constantly worried about retaliation as well. When dealing with this sort, we just never know what they may be capable of. The police were a constant presence at their home anyway, so it was clear that they really were not intimidated by them, nor did they have any respect for them. I saw one or the other family member hauled off more than once. So, with that going for them, who knew what they would be capable of by way of retaliation? It really does become a no-win situation for the good, honest folks trying to stop their dangerous behavior. I wish you luck...

Paul,

Once you contact the Police and they do nothing, then going to the media and telling them that no one will help, you are at these guys mercy usually makes it more likely that the media will take the story and do something.

If you can get a video or three of the guys racing around that usually helps. Nothing like showing a video of the police not doing their job to make the other public mad and then things happen.

I remember your thread...BRAVO! Really a great solution...

folks he's in Sweden..
very doubtful that he has access to 'local TV station' with a 'troubleshooter'..
guessing these folks are either x or some group that no-one wants to upset
his Cops are AFRAID of them.....don't want problems...
local news rag maybe...
you would love the TX solution..you really would..

Put in your own speed bumps on the weekend.

Couple of hours with some quick-crete and some basic forms and you could easily make your own speed bumps.

Considering how little the police care about your speeding situation, they probably won't care about your homemade speedbumps, either.

Was it that obvious - I did not want to say, in case I offended someone here

The speed bumps would in theory work, but there are two problems I can see:
1. I think they would see it as a good way to test the suspension and drive faster.
2. The police will not care, but the local council will - and I want them on my side not against me.

Nothing some explosives and firearms wouldn't solve....

I realize there are laws and procedures you must follow... which is why you are farked...

I've been in the same boat with the people in the duplex above me... Its a two unit deal so if I call the cops its rather obvious... But LOTS of loud music at 2am and such... we tried to get them thrown out but that didn't work... Instead I am just moving out.... Got tired of HAVING to sleep with a gun under my bed...

How about you get together with your neighbours and riddle the streets with bricks.
Enough so you and your neighbours can safely and kinda slowly avoid them, but also enough to hinder those douchebags when they are doing their testruns.
If bricks are not an option, how about pebbles?

Just thinking out loud here.

Stand on the curb and throw nails out right before they drive by... Then go out with a magnet on wheels and clean them up.... Repeat as many times as needed....

Video tape them. Then take a copy of the tape to the local council and tell them the police refuse to do anything. Then send a copy of the tape to the local TV stations/newspapers.

Complaining is like plumbing, you start at the top not in the cesspool. Remember Sh** runs down hill.

The council will ask the chief of police why they haven't done anything and the TV stations/newspapers will keep the heat on the council.

You can set up a wireless video camera and record the events when your not home. Then edit for content. This way they won't even know they will end up on the Swedish version of COPS.
