Wow, you sure don't see to many P-38's around. I think there are only 6 or so left. Love the shots with the 86 and the Mig. What's the story on the Fokker DR1? I saw the tag on the cowling but couldn't make it out.

The Fokker is a replica built in Germany in 1961. Don't know the story on the models - there were a couple there that day. History — Blue-Max-Triplane

Love the P-38 and P-40. Also think the P-39 is a gorgeous plane. I never was a big Mustang fan, though I know I'm in the minority with that. I always preferred the FW-190 | ||

F-86 Sabre... used against the MiG-15 in Korea... a beautiful design, IMO. I remember checking a book entitled "Sabre Jet Ace" out of the school library in the 5th or 6th grade and having a ball reading it. F-86 Sabre - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have heard several times that the Mig was actually the better of the two planes, but to our superior training (and simply more hours behind the stick) the US dominated the skies in the early jet age.
