Fixed the good old Lawnboy 8480 mower

So, ordered some parts from the net and noticed there are boards out there all about Lawnboys! Tons of them! These guys are deadly serious about there machines! I like mine, has worked for 25 years (never a oil change) only gas and air filters. There kinda like us with Porsche's!! most have 3-30 mowers....it is a disease!!

Haven't you changed the oil every time you have started it ? They were all 2 cycles. I had a very early all magnesium deck model it was simple, very light and worked great. That was when OMC owned them. Then had a later aluminum deck model, had more power but a lot heavier. Not sure who owns them today but I think they are crap now.

I have used my M series Lawnboy for 17 years. The original wheels had no tread left. It was a pain to get the new rear tires to fit. Except for the cables and an ignition module it has been trouble free.

I used a lawnboy for years and years, the only thing I ever replaced was the tickler bladder. Ha Ha, tickler bladder.
