One, and since anolog signals are no more, it is only used for watching DVDs. Spends most of the time unplugged.

3 total.

One 40"? in the family room.
One 32" in the MIL's room.
One 20"? in our daughters room.

Had one tube type in our son's room, but it broke last week. :)

Two bedrooms, upstairs game room, kitchen, living room, and garage.

I couldn't fall asleep as a kid and it drove me insane. It may not be the best thing to do, but I put a TV in my son's room at an early age because of what I remember as a kid.

We have a DVR in our bedroom, the living room, and the garage. It's rare that we watch something that's not recorded unless it's a sporting event or something we planned to watch.

Why don't you guys with older TVs get the cheap and readily available digital converters?

vash 05-25-2010 10:57 AM

i have one. in the living room.

so far, it is enough.

LeRoux Strydom 05-25-2010 11:01 AM

4 TV's.

52" Sony LCD in the main living room dpwnstairs,
40" Sony LCD in the kids' playroom upstairs,
Older LG CRT in my bedroom upstairs,
Very old Sony CRT in the entertainment area which is separate from the main house. When it dies, I'll buy a 32" Sony LCD to replace it.

PorscheGAL 05-25-2010 11:27 AM

1 projector and screen in a bedroom converted to theatre. (does this count?)

One in the shop.

jyl 05-25-2010 11:56 AM

Three. 42" LCD in family room. 19" CRT in study, would like to replace with LCD. 13" CRT in bedroom, I'd like to banish TV from that room but apparently I don't have much say.

skinnerd 05-25-2010 12:01 PM

One too many?
52" LCD plugged into Comcast digital HD and BluRay.

Targa Me 05-25-2010 12:10 PM

5 is the total for me.
1 in the living room; master bedroom; son's room; kitchen and the garage.

126coupe 05-25-2010 03:07 PM

6, Family Room, Kitchen, Master BR, BR#1, BR#2 and of course the garage.

Oh Haha 05-25-2010 05:46 PM

1 in the living room(antenna most watched), 1 in the loft(DVD/VCR only), 1 in our bedroom(wifey watches it, I can't do tv in bed), 1 in our son's room(DVD/VCR only so that he can watch a movie HE likes without his sister complaining about how much she DOESN'T want to watch the same one).

Not one is an LCD/plasma/HD16879934 or whatever the heck they are called.

Just don't care enough to spend the money on one. They'll startshowing up at rummages soon anyway.;)

Macroni 05-25-2010 06:20 PM

7TVs.............

Scuba Steve 05-25-2010 07:18 PM

They accumulate because the things seem indestructible and aren't used a whole lot.

- Living room (47in / Phillips / 2008)
- Office (27in / Sony / 1994)
- Soon to be game room (26in / Magnavox / 1992)
- Bedroom (13in / Hitachi / 1982)

edit: kinda morbid but I just realized I have the last two only because family members died. The only one I actually bought is the one in the living room.

We do the same thing.

We have three. Den, Basement, MBR.

I like to watch specific programs, when I want to watch them.
