Docs: delayed bruise
During our standard Sunday "Tour de Taco", my riding buddy and I crashed. I was behind, he was in front, I was distracted by a model-A Ford and another car crossed in front of us. My buddy jammed the brakes on and I slammed into him at full speed. Him, nothing, pushed a little. Me? Bike flipped and face/chest down on the ground.
The worst initial damage was a small skinned knee. I didn't feel much, and we decided to finish out the ride, after straightening out my brifters. After the ride, no real bruising and just a little more cramping than normal. 2 days later, I'm now seeing the bruises develop and one area, that doesn't hurt/never hurt, has a huge "port wine stain" kinda thing going on. What is the deal with this delayed bruising?

You tore some small blood vessels and it took some time for the blood to leak to the surface. Like a BP oil rig.

does it look like anything/anyone famous..

You'll need to make a couple of "relief cuts" to either side of the bruise so that the pressure in that area subsides.
