It will race, there is no doubt. It's a Porsche. That doesn't change the ugliness of it, though.
No one has come out and knocked its performance. And no one ever will. |

Does that mean Porsche can start winning DTM championships?

It would need a massive amount of *de-engineering* to run in NASCAR.

If Porsche wants to race a V8 car in some series, perhaps the Cayman S should have that 4.8 liter shoehorned into it.
This car reminds me of the old observation that goes something like: Don't wonder at how well the elephant dances, but wonder that it can dance at all. Les

I know I'm in the minority here, but I really, really like these cars. They're a wonderful way to cover large distances in great comfort. I read somewhere recently that they are currently Porsches best selling model in Europe. Is that also correct in the US?

Even stripped out, no a/c, with solid suspension components, that car would still be a more comfortable drive home than my 72 after a long hot day at the track!
![]() I like the panamera too. I can see buying one as a secondary family car when they've bottomed out on the depreciation curve. Not a chance in hell I'd spend 6 figures on a luxury car, though.

I've seen 5 in the last month or so. I think they're selling well.

It's funny, the pics only show the front.....
They should show the butt....the hideous butt... As it IS a Porsche, that is what most will see.....

Gotta change the marque to Porch to run NASCAR. The "e" is just too confusing.
