				Redbeard and StomachMonkey Sans StomachMonkey

So Red gives me a call and sez "I'm in the Big D on Federalists stuff, wanna get together?" Hell ya! So I figure to have Red over for beer and burgers - and while we are at it why not invite Stomach Monkey as well? He only lives about two miles from me.

Red swings by, Stomach Monkey texts me that he will be late do to something he is doing in the city. I text him back an hour later, "You finishing up? Red Beard and I are drinking cold beer without you." I get a call from him not a minute later. "Who is this?" "Dude! Its me, Holloway." Silence. "Mike, I'm in L.A. - I thought you were Dennis, you know... Speeder. I am supposed to hook up with him tonight." Well! Ain't that a fine kettle-o-fish! Dude blows us off to spend time with some left coasty! All well and good. Special thanks to Red for helping me jump the Targa. I haven't cranked her in over a year due to battery issues. Always a good time when a couple Pelicans get together. Next time Stomach...

To be fair I've got Mikes number programmed in my phone but his text did not come up under his name for some odd reason.

I'm in LA for a show and had posted a couple of threads about it and right after responding to one I got Mikes text so I just assumed it was either Dennis or maybe Slo Dave. I thought it was a bit weird since the text just said "come over" like I knew where either of them lived. When I texted back for the address I knew right away it was Mike. Sorry I missed out.

no probs - you can hap me install the new gearbox when I get it from Red! Looking to swap out the 4sp for a 5sp - the car actually came with a factory 4sp normally found in turbo models. A 5 would provide a bit more off-the-line zip and make for a better DD.

From the current state of my booth I think we'll be working straight thru till Monday night. Show opens Tuesday morning. But I'm up for trying to meet up with some folks. Would have tried to plan stuff in advance but doing these shows is difficult to schedule. I've done hundreds and they never go the same way twice. The only constant is there is always a surprise.

Both the Big D and the LA groups are guys I'd love to have over for a few brewskis and burgers. Even Denis, my token liberal friend who still carries heat.

Any time any of you guys make it up this far north, let me know. If I'm ever down there, you know I'll show up on your doorstep.
