One of my club members crashed an A-4 Skyhawk model last month. It burned a little patch of brush, the worst part for the club was the firetruck from MCAS Miramar responded and drove down our runway after the fire was out. Now the runway is very rutted. http://www.miramarrcflyers.com/site/

A few years ago, I got on an N-scale model train kick. But jeez! When I added up about six feet of track, a couple engines, some cars and background -- buildings and stuff -- the whole cost went north of $500.  I love those planes, though.
