I'm a Laker fan now...I guess...

That was a hell of a game. They deserve it. Kudos, Lakers!

Of course, somebody is firing a gun near my neighborhood at the moment.

I don't live too far away from you, so that's not good news for me, either.

The neighborhood has changed since we moved here 15 yrs. ago. And not for the better.

You know what looks damn good to me these days: Thousand Oaks.

Kobe Bryant Choked

It was clear that Kobe buckled under the pressure tonight. It was nauseating to listen to the announcers trying to put Bryant in to the same class as Magic and MJ. Not even close. I thought Bryant's smug after-game interview (the one with his two kids) was a disgrace. What a cocky punk. He should be on his knees thanking Artest and Gasol for his 5th ring...

Ugh, not an NBA fan at all but watched a few of the finals games hoping the Celtics would smack the smugness out of Kobe and all of the so called celebrities that seem to ring the Lakers court. I don't remember basketball being about standing thirty feet from the basket throwing up anything just to get a foul called. I have to give Kobe some credit though, when his shot left him last night he played defense and rebounded like a mad man. Ray Allen is no match for him.

What's the post game body count?

UH huh, and the playoffs only consist of one game.

You don't like Kobe? Fine, You are not alone. But you shouldn't use that dislike as an excuse to say things that are not even close to being accurate.

Yep, I called 911 last night and met the cop in the street. I told him the gunfire was back over there, in the alley. He said they had another call and they thought it was firecrackers.

wtf? There're both illegal. Anyway, apparently no one hurt in this block. Not the case 20 blocks north where there was one fatality due to gunfire.

The bastards didn't even wait for the weekend when we always have a few wounded and usually one dead.

I used to think that Bryant was an OK guy, but he kind of pissed me off with some of his post-game interview. And, just for the record, I'm not disputing that he's a great player, just not in a league with MJ, Magic, and Bird. Kobe is a bit of a head case, and I don't think he handles big game pressure as well as most... And yes, Game 7 IS much different in terms of pressure than games 1-6. That's all.. just my opinion.

Well, if it's any consolation, Kobe whines a hell of a lot more than MJ, Magic and Bird.

You're not a Lakers fan until you set a car on fire AND loot a business.
