Sounds like a great idea, on all fronts!

Hey Rick, when are you heading to SoCal? I need to get over there sometime myself. Heading to Carlsbad then to San Jose areas...

Riding there early Sunday. I foolishly made an appt. for 4pm in Palm Springs. Gawd, that's gonna be so crazy hot on a bike. And my 993 a/c just started acting up this afternoon. It's never been serviced, is 14 yrs. old and blew ice cold until a few hours ago.

It will cool down in a few days once the Monsoons hit. Bad news is that it will also be a bit more humid.

Only too well. Thank God I just got the swamp cooler working in the hangar last month. It really helps a lot...

Let me know when you are heading over. I am most likely heading that way for a bit either Monday-Tuesday or Wed-Thursday.

1,2,3 NOT it!

Seriously, I can't remember if the 993's use the same A/C relay set-up, but if so, I'd look there first. Very common failure on the earlier Carrera A/C systems.

Whatever the case, I'm sure I could be persuaded to help with enough good beer on hand. Maybe we can get Joe and/or OJU over for a pow wow.

I have another thread on the 993/964 tech board. It ain't a relay. If it were, it's be an all or nothing kind of thing. Yes, it was crazy hot today, but the a/c was losing some of its juice after the range session. Still cool, but not ice cold. It's a leak or something gradual.
