Wow, 357 mag. It's a big boy. I guess the good part is that if she does most of her practice with .38 rounds (with the occasional 357 round), it'll be easier and cheaper.

Heh. When I started taking my then 6 year old daughter shooting she really liked shooting my 1911.

I'd sit her on the bench, squat behind her and wrap my arms around to help support and control the pistol. Scary thing is she could usually make a few hits on a 8x11 target at 10 yards...

Natasha was shooting my Colt 357 when she was 10 years old, pretty accurate

The 357 rounds were only a couple of bucks more than the .38 rounds

I shoot a semi-auto only now, but my first gun was a wheel gun. Nickel 38 special, 2" barrel and pachmeyer grips. The grips were really a nice improvement for me to shoot that gun. You know, I never really liked that gun. Got rid of it after a few years.

I like my Sig alot, and Steve's Glock is pretty sweet, but my favorite pistol to shoot was a Browning 22 that the owner (one of my buddies) used to use for some type of competitive shooting. Fabulous shooting pistol. He loaned it to me and I kept it for almost two years...

Chicks with guns - goodness, what is the world coming to? Never thing you know, we'll be taking the keys to the Porsche!

Grips will make a big difference on that gun, especially for a woman shooting a .357. Unless she is a really big girl, maybe a pro tennis player with the Popeye forearms, that thing is liable to be a handful for her.

I bought my mom the same revolver about 15 years ago, she still has it to this day.
