Camera questions.

I have been given a few old cameras that I am not at all familiar with to say the least. They belonged to my great uncle and my grandmother has been holding on to them for years and years. My parents are planning on selling them to get my grandmother a little extra cash as she has no need for them. I figured I would post them here to get some info on them from the camera gurus here.

Not knowing a lot about these cameras or any cameras for that matter, I ask of you experts out there, are they worth anything? They are all in excellent condition and function to the best of my knowledge. If they are worth some money, I will put them up on e-bay (or is there a better way to sell old cameras?). I will not be taking them to Pawn Stars.

The first is a Fujica Auto-M in a leather case. It has the manual and some extra parts, wrist straps, etc.

The second camera is a Keystone Pocket Everflash 120 in a hard case with the manuals (cute pics of girls in them )

The final camera is a movie camera. It's a 8mm Tower No. 9189 with triple lens turret. Yep, old school video camera for all of your home movie making needs. This one has a case and the manual as well.

Thanks in advance,

Tim

Sorry, very little value in any of them. You might be able to get $50 for the Fujuca, $5-10 for the 110 camera.

And the "video" camera is really an 8mm movie camera. Try selling it to a film student, nobody else still uses them.

Wish one of them was an old Leica or Hasselblad. Then you might have something worth a lot.

They are not worth much, possibly more as a keepsake.

Yeah, unfortunately those 120 cameras aren't worth much to anyone because it's a dead film format. Somebody who likes nostalgic items might like them though because they look like they are in great shape. It won't hurt to throw them on ebay with no reserve just to see what will happen! The 8mm film camera might get some play from the indy film crowd. They still shoot with it on occasion.

Good luck!

Given the interest in Holga and other film cameras, you may have something worthwhile - but probably not a gold mine. In the art world, movies shot on old cameras haven't caught up to prints from old still cameras in popularity, but they may someday. I suspect the art world may develop an interest in the movie camera some day.

Old cameras and fishing reels don't seem to be worth much, I have both and I guess that's why, they just aren't.

Thanks for the quick responses. I guess they are worth more as a family keepsake than the market value. I am still amazed at the condition and all the other accessories that I didn't post. There has to be some fun history with them as I found a collection of customs stamps with the misc. paperwork with the cameras. Maybe I will display them somewhere in the house and tell my grandmother that we got a pretty penny for them on the interwebs and send her a nice check. Can never get enough good grandson points.

The funny part was as I was going through all the cases and cameras, I kept saying (hoping beyond hope) please do not find a picture or film that I do not want to see, and luckily I did not.

Once again, thanks for all of your input.

Tim
