Wanna bet?

It's obviously an F18 on the flatbed. If it wasn't the crashed AC in question, it would have to be another F18 that suffered a flatbed-worthy incident, in the same locale (Lethbridge, Canada), within the same time period. Highly unlikely.

The crash occurred on Friday.
I have photos of that particular F-18 and pilot Wednesday evening.
(obviously, he was having a better day)

What makes you think that?

It was the plane that crashed - my taxi driver said they had been bundling it up and loading it on the truck for the past few days and it seemed the plane was a bit of a land mark the past week for the small community

Here's the a picture after the fire was out:

I was driving past the rig, so I couldn't get a side shot of the whole trailer, but there was the tail section at the back, a large part of the fuselage at the front and the proverbial 100 bags of stuff in between - all budled in tarps from Canadian Tire.

The truck was all white with no markings and probably a leased unit, but was being driven by a couple of Canadian Forces guys in the green disruptive pattern camos.

I suspect that it was on it's way to Cold Lake for a re-fit :

Regards,
Andrew M

Well, not anymore...I am wrong. Based on all of my past accident investigation work, I couldn't imagine the empannage holding together.

Old dogs need new tricks....
