The other idea with the digital age, is to actually print your best pix. With archive inks, your best prints will far outlast you and your children.

But that is so analogue!
![]() We have a 64 inch wide Epson printer here at work. We only print on PhotoGloss paper. The prints are supposed to be archival. I don’t expect to know if they fade 100 years from now. What is amazing is that right after they come off the printer I can take them to the sink and dunk them in hot water and all it does it get the print wet. Just wipe it off with a paper towel and it will dry and look perfect. Don’t try that with a real photographic print. You can frame one of our prints behind glass and it will never stick to the glass. I worked at a professional photo-lab for over 25 years. Inkjet printing makes all that darkroom equipment useless. It took me two years to find someone that would take our 10x10 enlarger away and keep it for posterity. It was a masterful piece of equipment that will never be replicated again. Our scanner can get more information from film than optical printing ever could.
