Toyota suspension question, no Porsche content
Hate to admit I own another car, but I've gotten so much good Porsche advice here I thought I'd ask a Toyoto Highlander suspension question.
The car, at about 70k miles, has started to judder/shimmy when the brakes are applied strongly at 60-70mph. Driving around town, stopping at lower speeds is as normal. Anyone had this problem? Shocks? Bushings? Doesn't sound like alignment to me but I'm no expert. Thanks, Jim

My Sequoia did that, your brake discs could be warping, have them "turned"

this, and from now on, use a torque wrench on your lug nuts. Unevenly torqued lug nuts/bolts can make your rotors warp. I have never had a problem with warped rotors in the 20 years I have done this, and I abuse the heck out of my vehicles.
Buy new ones, aftermarket pads are almost invariably better than OEM pads on cars from the land of the rising son.

+1 on torquing to spec. A trigger happy tire monkey with an impact wrench is your rotor's worst enemy.

My last and current Toyotas have done that, frozen piston in the caliper.
