WTF Vash? If it is a tree squirrel, you eat it. If it is a ground squirrel, you toss it. Where is the problem?

Get some judo points for the bow. This is the proper point for small game.

Cheers

George

Ok, one more point. If it lives in the GROUND, it is a grounds squirrel.

These are generally not eaten. I have a friend who tried and said it wasn't good. And he is not picky if it comes to eating rodents.

Cheers,

George

Any updates? Squirrel hunting this weekend?

How about a sub-sonic round in your .22?

George

I love not caring . I have dozens of gopher holes in my side yard. I don't even water it in the summer to save water. Let it die and it comes back in the Winter. Full of holes.

They always can tell when something is up. All animals do. They'll eat out of your hand one day, the next you show up in camo or with a weapon, even a stick bow, they are nowhere to be seen ...

I would not poison them. That could poison other animals that you may care about a little more.

Definitely keep us updated - I am hoping for a trophy shot, bow in hand!

George

Silly suggestion, vash, but why don't you just get a cat? Let it terrorize those rodents for you. I came home last night to see my headlights illuminate one of my cats trotting down the driveway between our house and the neighbor's, carrying a limp rat in its mouth. He then walked across the street, either to eat it or dispose of it in someone else's yard. Either way, it's one less rodent on my side of the street.

Cliff, I've heard you need to put a thumb-sized blob of peanut butter in the Hav-A-Heart... it puts out much more food stank and will draw rodenty critters like flies.

The kid's fill the holes with a garden hose then wack'em with a shovel then they come out coughing. Quality entertainment.[img]
