Anyone else use a safety razor?

I think I have figured out why it gives you such a close shave... Any bumps and imperfections on your skin are quickly taken care of by the super sharp blade. Where there once was some razor burn on my neck--there is now a patch of new skin .

Saftey razor mostly. Feels nice and fresh afterwards.
Electrical when pressed for time.
Straight razor when I have time to spare.

I have a razor blade in my garage to clean stickers from glass. Does that count?

Safety razors are for wussies. Everyone uses straight razors, right? Oh, wait, it's not 1943 any more.

I use a straight razor exclusively with the exception of when I fly somewhere. In those cases, I've got a safety razor that I carry on and buy cheap blades when I land.
The shave from a straight razor is typically not as close as from a safety razor, but my face always feels incredible after a straight razor shave. A single pass straight razor shave isn't that time consuming either and gives you as close a shave as a modern plastic POS. A triple pass shave takes some time, the against and across runs require a little creativity in blade handling.

Respect man!!

I actually took a three day course to learn how to shave with a straight razor.
I was surprised how much skill is involved, but at the end I managed to shave myself without bleeding like a gutted pig...
Don't know why it is so appealing to me, it's old school, out of the ordinary, I guess.
I should do it more often to keep the technique.
Next step is getting a hot chick to learn how to shave me with it
