I had to do it in school - not fun. I do ever'thin' by ear anyway - no rules.

I recall some little wierd tripod you were supposed to sit some fragment up on...

You can imagine how well diagramming went over when half the kids use French constructions (Louisiana) with English words in them... and not even modern Parisian French either.

Was supposed to, but didn't. I asked the teacher "When will I ever use this in the real world?" Automatic trip to the office, and detention for a week. Managed to do enough extra credit to pass the class.

I initially thought, wow, a bunch of folks have diagrammed sentences, but really, this is a fairly low response so far, so the numbers may not be very high.
