New OBDII reader/tool/gauge only $40

Hi all.

I've got a ScanGaugeII - Trip Computers + Digital Gauges + Scan Tool and I love it. It does a ton of stuff, it'll read out the various inputs that the computer gets as real time gauges, it's got a pretty comprehensive trip computer, and it reads and resets CEL codes. It runs $160.

Well, there's a new similar (but seemingly improved) competitor on the market. I think for $40, I'm going to get one.

This new one looks like it's got several really nice new features that mine doesn't have and it's less than 1/3 the price.

UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool

I'm not affiliated. I just thought I'd pass the word along.

I like the idea, but wonder if it's more advertising than product. I would like a product that does what it promises, but I'd hate to get a flimsy toy, even if it's just $40.

Here's the company profile.

Yeah, if it does what it says, it'd be great.

there's also a blue tooth obdii adapter, and several apps for both iphones and android phones. From what I understand, the android apps are fairly immature.

Ultragauge provides some useful realtime info. at an economical price point.

Products by Aktron seem to provide more info for diagnostics and repair. However, it's twice the price at $80-$100.

A guy that I work with ordered one. I'm curious to see what happens when he receives it. Here's a thread on another forum from someone that bought one that isn't a 1 post wonder.
The thread includes pics.
