While it's downloading it's in Bill\Downloads then disappears.

I've used IE as well and selected it to save to the desktop and it puts the file there but when I dbl click it nothing happens.

I'm using Avast anti-virus software.

I'm using FF and it doesn't ask where to save the file. But it downloads it to Bill\Downloads but when it's finished disappears.

I'm using Avast Anti-virus.

I'm also used IE and selected the desktop and it puts the file there but nothing happens when I dlb click it.

PM Sent.

If you were able to download on a different machine I'd just stick that .exe on a thumbdrive and bring it home.

Good idea! I'll put it on a flash drive and bring it over... I'll see if that works! Thanks!

That did it! I don't know why I didn't think of that because I had to do that from the laptop to the desktop as it didn't have a DVD burner and it needed some software when I got it. Now it was just moving files the other way. Anyways, it's on my laptop now so I'm off and running like Johnny Appleseed! LOL!

So I got it to work on my laptop... Can you guys stand another newbie question?

I went on iTunes on my laptop and downloaded a few FREE apps. Then I Sync'd the iPad and they don't show up. But if I download them on my iPad they work just fine. So my question is should I just download them on my iPad or in iTunes and figure out the Sync-ing process or do I have it backwards? Sorry, really I'm as green as they come in regards to Apple stuff. Seriously, my first and last exp was in the early-mid 80's and that was it. Maybe that was a hint? hahaha!

Go into ITunes and select Sync all files, check and see in each section what is being Sync'd Sorry I don't have it open now so I can't get more specific.

Basically you choose what you want sync'd when the ipad is hooked up.

Steve, good luck getting a Cius before me :P

I'm hoping to develop an app or two for it when the SDK comes out.

Highly unlikely, but here's hoping.

Apparently Cisco is planning to develop lots of stuff for Android. I hear that they're going to convert other Cisco Hardware to Android. That sort of thing is good to hear. It means that Android will continue to improve and be developed.

He was in the "get it downloaded" state of mind and your post was before he had success on a second machine so he likely did not recall your suggestion.

And yes, you are a genius. Feel better now?

You had the right answer just at the wrong time for me. Heck I even had to install programs before with a flash drive. I just forgot about doing it that way, just like your post. Sorry. He just reminded me at the right place and the right time. Don't feel bad...

I really appreciate everyone's input and help because it works just fine now! I'm off and running...
