Hey, glad you're back & enjoyed it. Next time you'll take in some real food - or cache some. For next time, lunges & stadiums are OK, but you can't beat hiking uphill with a weighted pack for a few hours and back down. The downhill conditioning is important too. We'll look forward to some venison when you get the chance again.

Glad to hear you survived albeit without a deer, one trip with too much weight will make anyone into an ultralight convert ;-P
Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your food, I generally buy from the grocery store but for the fancy dehydrated stuff I have enjoyed some of the "Backpacker's Pantry" products. Any chance you'll try some traditional backpacking? You live close to some of the best trails in the world!

So your buddy tagged out? Or couldn't because the deer was 20 yards into the park?
Pictures??? Glad you had a good time! Deer hunting on foot with a bow - even with training wheels - is tough. George |
