perhaps it is because we have left the universe which revolves around TABS and entered one of less tolerance and more cynasism...

Speed dial and spell check eliminates the need for us to know how to spell or memorize phone numbers. Technology is making us stupid.

I hear that all the time, but I've grown up with technology and spell checkers. I've used word processors with spell checkers since I was 10 years old, and I've got excellent spelling and grammar. When we're proofing our advertising, I'm always the one that's correcting spelling and grammar.
I think many people are too quick to blame technology, when really it's just laziness. Spell checkers are good for typos - things like "teh". There's no technological excuse for not knowing the common things like your/you're or there/their/they're. ftr, i do get lazy and type like this sometimes, with improper capitalization and punctuation. and mea culpa, i should be spelling it capitaliSation, as a good canuck ![]() Wow, all sorts of red squiggly spell-check lines showing up there... ![]()

Would "Im the one "who's" be more correcter even...or righter, so to speak? Or is the difference the same (or whatever), as it were?
![]() Poisonally, the only spell checker in my life is the one in my e-mail. Otherwise (mostly here) I click on a dictionary to check on spelling and/or meaning of words I'm not sure of. Doing that and correcting my own mistakes functions as a learning experience for me whereas relying on a spell checker doesn't seem to as much.

Hmm, "who" does flow off the tongue better, doesn't it? I think technically speaking either would be correct, as "who" or "that" refers to "one", not "I". "I am the one who"/"I am the one that".
