Anyone up for a Pelican meet in Vegas? 1-3 October?

Ok gang,

Nostatic is heading to Vegas on the morning of the 2nd and might be talked into staying until the 3rd, Monday to head home.

Its well past time for the Ultimate Pelican Meeting part Deaux, so is anyone up for this? Temps should be nice by that time and weather is almost always wonderful there.

Let's get together and see what everyone really looks like!

Joe

well since i cant go to reno for the air-races, nor san dago for the unlimited hydros this weekend(theres a concurrent theme here). and dove season just ended about an hour ago until november. my very expensive 2nd time around geldwen door insert was broken during transit(twice now-arrggghh) and was not installed. my b-day is coming up. its still too damn hot, i didnt get drawn for hunting here and my hunting peudner who had a stroke isnt keen on elevation hunting................this could be an interesting diversion.

which jet are we flying in JOE! or whose driving?

i get shot gun !

if joe and i took the score "class 8" we could take the "REAL FUN" route from searchlight over to primm and then on up. great way to see endangered tortugas, snattlerakes, maybe some camels from the beale expedition, some burros etc. or cut primm out of the picture and just follow the UP(union pacific tracks) all the way up into town.

trust me you better NOT have any dental fillings.

I'm interested, but it's a distant possibility for me right now. My mother is in the nursing home on the verge right now.

Crap, I will be there next Friday thru Wednesday (Sept 24th- 29th) for work. Oh well, my wife is going with me, so a night out with the guys would probably not go over too well anyhow.

A couple of things:

1. the 3rd is a Sunday.
2. It's spelled 'deux'
3. This is pretty short notice, but I may be able to make it...I'll see if I can make arrangements.

Anyone have suggestions for a cheap place to stay?

Hey, its short notice and I am not paid for doing this. Get over it!

Second, I do not speak frog, but if you want it in German or possibly Russian (if I am drinking) will give it a try!

See what you can do, the more the better!

There are a lot of places that give good deals. I usually stay at the Marriott facilities as I have millions of miles but we can all start looking now.

Now that it looks like things might work out, any suggestions on what to do? Todd has previous events scheduled for the night of the 2nd.

Jordi always tries to take us out to the range and that would be neat, and sitting at the Bellagio smoking cigars and drinking adult beverages while watching the fountain was nice last time.

Ideas?
