I'm going to buy a bunch of feeder crickets from the pet store and put them in the ceiling... and in case they don't get the point, a bunch of the thinkgeek annoy-a-trons just for good measure.

Yup, along with the Johnny Paycheck song (I think) "Take this job (bridge) and Shove IT". I know humour is easy when it's not my job that's on the line. Truthfully, I'm just glad to have a job in this economy (in case my boss is reading this) and don't have the brass b..lls to quit. Waiting on the lottery check.

I've always tried to leave jobs with dignity, though in some cases THAT will bite you in the as$ if the boss is childish and decides to flip out... It might be interesting to hire a mime to act out your last day at work. That could be very interesting as long as the mime didn't get shot. Or maybe that would make it even more interesting - angela

I am a tech in the auto industry. When the economy started to implode a few years ago right about now in the DC Metro area I quickly realized just how expendable an veteran tech is. Said dealership made no qualms about the techs taking it in the wallet before anyone else. I left that day - no notice

I started working for a [nameless] company as a favour for a friend. I never should have! I was working on a piece of equiptment which i know inside out. I have intimate knowledge of the how/why these things fail & the correct repair proceedures. I started work at 7pm..... by 8pm i had realised that there were 3 forman in charge, all running the same job! Each one had their own methods of repair..... only 1 of them had a real clue. At first it was amusing. As i started the repairs using forman #1s direction, foreman #2 would come along & contradict him. Then forman #3 would do the same. Amusement soon turned to annoyance. At 10pm, i simply threw my toolbox into the boot of my car, went back inside, & informed foreman #1 that i was unable to serve 3 masters with confliction opinions..... & left. No fanfare..... no issues..... didn't even care about my wages. Chalk it down to experience.
