Spoons vs girls

Top Ten Reasons Why Men Prefer Guns Over Women

................................And here we go......................................

#10 - You can trade an old 44 for a new 22.

#9 - You can keep one gun at home and have another for when you're on the road.

#8 - If you admire a friend's gun and tell him so, he will probably let you try it out a few times.

#7 - Your primary gun doesn't mind if you keep another gun for a backup.

#6 - Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo.

#5 - A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space.

#4 - Guns function normally every day of the month.

#3 - A gun doesn't ask , "Do these new grips make me look fat?"

#2 - A gun doesn't mind if you go to sleep after you use it.

And the Number One reason
Why Men Prefer Guns over women.....

#1 - You can buy a silencer for a gun!

How are guns and girlfriends the same ?

You have to diddle the trigger to get them hot.

But guns are better than boys too
* You can trade a .44 for .22, and probably get a little money to boot.
* If you admire a friend's handgun and tell her she will probably let you try it out for a few rounds, if you like it more than yours you can go for a trade or get one just like hers
* You can buy a silencer for a gun.
* You can keep one handgun at home and have another for when you're travelling
* Your primary handgun doesn't mind if you keep another handgun for a backup
* Your handgun will stay with you even if you forget to feed it
* A handgun doesn't fill the garage with junk
* Handguns are always happy to go shopping with you
* Handguns sit on the sofa during weepy films, they don't go to tinker with a motorcycle until it's over
* Handguns only roar when you want them to
* Handguns happily wear whichever holster you think suits them.
* The same model is available in different barrel lenghts.
* Handguns don't squeal if you grab their handle with cold hands.
* If the first shot goes off too soon, there's another one ready in the magazine. You can easily reload a handgun.
*Your gun fires whenever you want it to as many times as it takes to satisfy you.
* If a handgun is not excercised it's happy with an occaisional wipedown with an oily rag.
* Sleep with a handgun and you don't have to sleep on the wetpatch

My ex had a habit of practicing on a silhouette with a orange heart square.
The day she bought me an orange tee shirt was the day she had to hit the road.

Yeah, but not many .22's will fit well into a holster broken in and loosened up by a .44. Most are leery of the corrosive affects of the various solvents and whatnot that have soaked into the leather. That, and not many appreciate the smell of old leather, but we all love the smell of new leather. No matter the fancy adornments or tooling on the .44 holster, there is still no way to restore its youth and firm it up again to tightly grip that .22. Add to that the notion that a hair triggered .22 may accidentally discharge when inserted into an old holster meant for a .44, and things get dicey pretty quickly.

On the other hand, an old .44 can be easily made to fit into just about any .22 holster with a bit of work, and maybe some saddle soap to help form the holster. Little chance of accidental discharge, either, regardless of how snugly the .22 holster holds the .44. Plus, the gun always seems to out-wear the holster, with many guns going through several holsters while remaining entirely serviceable. They will continue to serve their owners, firing reliably on demand, well after the holsters have started to dry out and crack.

Actually Jeff, I was coming home from an evening out with a buddy of mine and got a VERY good offer. .22 cal exactly I would say. I said thanks but no thanks and carried on my way to shoot with the .44 (.45 cal actually). Maybe it was a mistake but I keep reminding the .44 that I could have done a few rounds at the range with the gorgeous .22 but I remained faithful to the .44.

I've got to translate this into Italian for some of my friends!
