Thanks for the reviews!

I've always heard Honda is the best.

I am running 2 Honda EU2000's also. Runs the 15K A/C and microwave at the same time. IMO having 2 is better. If you don't need the A/C, you can hook only 1 up.

An extended run tank is almost mandatory though. Small gas tanks on the 2000's.

I need a quiet generator too.
When my 2 1/2 year old is screaming it would be nice to have a device to generate quiet conditions.
I would go with the Honda. They are very quiet.

Becareful with the Honda and ethanol based fuels. They have problems if gas sits in the carb.

I got it for $1785 delivered. Electric start and pull start. It is extremely quiet and has "ECO-MODE". The engine throttles down depending on current draw. It will run my 15000btu AC on high for about 12-14 hours/tank. I just can't run the microwave and the AC at the same time. If I don't run the AC, it will definately last the 20 hours advertised. It is a little heavy to be lifting it into the back of a pickup very often, but you can get a wheel kit to roll it into a toy hauler. You literally will not know that it is running.

you got a great deal! i had my contractor offer to buy me one at his discount. at the time, he was ramping up for a bridge job, and buying all his stuff at Whitecap. his price was $1600 delivered onto the jobsite. i declined. conflict of interest stuff, as i was about to administer the contract. it was tempting though. you can run two of them and get a quiet 6000w!

i agree, heavy unit. but in an earthquake. it could save your butt. you dont want a loud unit, because the zombies would home in on the noise. (i mean looters)
