Got a new daily driver

With the T down for flares and a new motor, I found this little gem for sale within 2 miles of me, perfect for daily driver activities. Best part of the car is that it has never been molested, no drama, no PO "crapftique" to rip out, just a close to bone stock 86 coupe that was pretty well kept up in the local area since new, and drives like it.

Very nice. Seems like surgery gives you too much time on your hands!

Market is very soft on these. Techweenie got one 2-3 months ago for 6K. That's why I never put mine formally up for sale.

Are they really that cheap? They are still stupid expensive in Canada. If I found a Carrera Coupe for under $10k I'd be all over it.

There's a similar one on my local CL for 6300. It's been pretty hard to restrain myself.

looks great.

Rule #1: Don't twist any nuts, bolts, or screws counter-clockwise

1986 is one of my favorite years for the Carrera, for a whole host of reasons. Good going!

Thanks Guys, it's been some time since I've had a car like this. nothing to fix, no drama, drives great, faster than I remember, and only has a short list of bolt-on upgrades. just want to enjoy driving it rather than enjoy working on it, the T is good for that now and have to get to the S sometime next year.

got a good deal on the car, very nice fellow bought a 996 Cab so this had to go. one of my best transactions.

That's a nice looking ride. Does it need anything as far as you know?

Very nice. I lived in Cambridge for several years. It will be a fun car to drive through the White Mts. or to Browns in Seabrook, NH for some fresh seafood.
