85 VW Cabriolet Forums ????

I have Friend who purchased a 85 VW cabriolet for nothing. He is in need for a good forum to help work through some issues, I recommended the samba.com. Are there others that are good to look through?

I don't know much about these cars. There are many similarities with the Bosch systems. He's wrestling a bag of snakes on this as far as getting it started. I am guessing that there must be a good forum for this car. Any suggestions?

I have a good friend from highschool/college/Army that just dug his old cabrio from college out of storage (been sitting for about 20 years in his in-laws barn). He is looking to revive it. Back then, four of us had cobbed up rabbits that we tooled around campus in. We also did some autocrossing in them. Good memories.

With a quick search, I found this forum that I am going to forward to him. Have not spent too much time reading posts, but it appears somewhat useful for troubleshooting various issues with these old rabbits. The152 » Forums » MK1 Rabbit Convertible - Cabriolet

This is a companion site and has some great tutorials, specs, how-to's etc. http://www.mk1vw.info/

had two mk1's (rabbit pickups) and a number of mk2's (7 gti/jetta/gli's)...kinda miss them sometimes. Lots of info on the 'tex, but when they expanded to a million different sub forums it made it hard to find stuff sometimes.

if your friend hasn't already bought one, he needs a bentley manual. the vw ones are significantly cheaper than the Porsche ones!

Great thanks for the help I have passed it along.
