Old cars I miss

Sitting here with some Champagne and looking at cars I had, other than Porshce's, this is one I miss. A 78 Turbo LeSabre, four wheel disk brakes, posi, bucket seats, no air, no electric windows, all original, total factory car. One of One. I sold it with 55k miles on it.
Didn't need the money, like always, just wanted to change.

Jim? Mustangs are NOT allowed to be discussed here in off topic. They anger those who know that 944 is a better and faster car.

Alas, nothing but old instamatic shots of the car I miss the most...here's a file shot of an engine like it had...

The one I miss not so much

Because I know it's in good hands and will remain out of the hands of certain people I don't like.

So many!

Here's one. I bought it in Switzerland from a guy who bought it from the first owner, Formula One pilot Jochen Mass.

Blue full leather, and the engine was the wildest 3.2 liter I ever drove. A total sleeper that went like a freight train. Mass had the thing very expensively modified by a shop in Geneva, and then gave it to his girlfriend. I'm pretty sure he was trying to get rid of her—this car was that fast.

No photo, but: '64 GTO convertible.

Plus:

Oh, and: 55 Nomad, 57 Nomad, 57 Corvette, 70-1/2 Trans Am... and probably others that don't come to mind at the moment.

My '72 El Camino. Really just miss the sound of a BB Chevy motor to shake the neighbors awake.

1971 Fleetwood. About the biggest thing you'll find except for a limo. Mine was blue and in very bad shape.

Don`t you know that a 944 can spank any 5.0 mustang ever built.
I have owned 2 944 NA, an 84 and an 86, and I have built 2 5.0 Mustangs
for the track for less than it would take to get enough HP in the 944 to catch
either of my 5.0 Mustangs down the straight at Second Creek or Pueblo Motor Sports
Park, and yes I did own both cars at the same time 84 944, 5.0 Mustang 1986 Coupe
retired Colorado State Patrol Car. Strut tower brace, shock tower brace, sub frame connectors
disk brake rear end from a 1988 T Bird Turbo Coupe 3.55 Locker, KYB Gas adjust Struts and
shocks, 2 1/2 non cat exhaust, chipped ECU other wise stock 5.0 motor with K&N Cold Air
setup. All cheap mods for a Fox Chassis Car. Yes a well maintained 944 NA is a good track
car in stock form but its still short on HP, and being a Porsche that is an expensive issue to
fix. Please understand Porsche VS Mustang is Apples to Oranges, imported German VS. U.S.
Muscle Car. I have owned and enjoyed both for their personality on the road and track.
Mountain View was a whole different track for these two cars, if you live in Colorado and do
track days you will know what I mean, thats about all that I miss about Colorado are the tracks, three tracks in less than 3 hrs drive from my house.

couple of simulated enactment pics (as the originals I have are not digital)

my 1st car:

- don't miss the ol' rocket sled too much as the suspension sucked; you could almost watch the gas gauge move tho! -- I do like the power & torque and that's why I have a big motor in my 911

2nd car - discovering the wonders of German engineering:

after that I "went Japanese" for a while:
one notable car was red RX-7 turbo - took a while but it'd get moving too

I guess you need to "understand" that there is some history here. No one is taking it seriously.

I had a wonderful old tii - brown -

Foolishly I listened to a boyfriend and traded it for this...

Soon I came to my senses and I dumped the guy, and the car, and bought a 914.
