Chicken Pot Pie

I grew up on these things as a kid. The Wife is always trying something new that she finds on the internet. We will see?

It is hard to make chicken pot pie that doesn't taste good. If she/you like these, try beef pie, lamb pie, shepherd's pie, etc. These meat pies also freeze well.

I have used phyllo dough for pot pies for a long time...

Tell wifey she can fold all the end over the top, then cover with some foil so the dough doesn't get burned

Weather is almost cool enough to start making pot pies again...

Not a bad recipe. I'd use some of the herbs from my garden besides parsley. Maybe a little thyme, sage and marjoram.

Did these turkey pies a few weeks back after cooking a 35lb turkey for the wife and I. I always cook too much so I can fill the freezer. I vacuum bag them and keep for winter. Today is a 15lb roast of beef for the 2 of us! Looks like I might be making stew this week
