What kind of service plan/warranty do you get?
|
Eh?! I've fixed wounds worse 'an that with a Snickers wrapper and duct tape! Next time, shave the head and butterfly it shut. It'll save you the $2107.56 that this round'll cost ya.

$1,450.
I was at the ER a few months back. I had a bee sting for the 3rd time in two months. This time my hand started to swell real bad. At the ER the Doc took one minute to say I was having a reaction to the sting and I should go to the pharmacy and get some benadryl. That minute cost me $450. |
2500.00
figure at least 150 a stitch.. + some $ cause your special.. simple cut...we trained on this stuff.. after showing we could do pigs feet.. followed by goat-lab.. Rika |
Not sure about ER costs, but my recent trip to Urgent Care, including X-rays of the broken bone, were less than 200 bucks.
|
I'm guessing $850...nice shot! Don't you love how head wounds bleed?
So anyways, if I guess the right amount...do I win something (and please, don't send me the bill)....maybe something like a Porsche?? |
My son had a similar cut a few years ago. After a very long wait in emergency it stopped bleeding.
We went home. Total cost: $5.00 for parking. |
I had something similar recently. Inside stitches and outside. 2000.
|
2750.00 plus your left arm and right leg.

We were out in under an hour. Nurse couldn't hold him down (he was 5 or 6) so I had to do it. Cost? I had to whip his health card out of my wallet. Zip, nothing, never does cost anything. I could have got the stitches taken out for free as well, but 1-1/2 hour round trip and the long wait for a non-emergency I just did it myself. |
I'll go one dollar, Bob!

you left out cadavers... but, it IS very expensive to train doctors - even the pre-med part costs more than most undergraduate lab classes. however, Noah explained the main reasons for the cost above; + the covering the billings for all the poor - it would be tons cheaper to handle their health issues in a non-ER setting |
Staples are a bit tough to take out at home, unless you have the handy, dandy tool.
I have stitched up a lot of friends and relatives, but suturing is a bit of a PITA when the hair gets in the way. |

I'm going with $1672

I texted that pic to my sil a 4th year. He likes the er stuff and lives in a big city. Plenty of car crashes shootings stab and slash. He said it is really to bad they don't train them on the cost part. He said they do charge a higher bill for uninsured. Not like they'll pay it. He said Medicare is almost pro Bono er.
|
$3865.00
|
Its a trick question:
1) Medicare would have to pay $800. 2) Your Insurance Company would have to pay $950. 3) If you have no insurance, you would have to pay $3000 unless you fight with them (ask me how I know). 4) If you are an illegal alien, you would have to pay $0 because you would give false information and not pay the bill. Who would pay the difference? See #3. |
