Top Gear USA - Who do you think is wearing The Stig firesuit?

My guess is Paul Tracy

I agree but since he doesn't speak we can't tell if he is whining.

There is no way Paul Tracy could stay quiet that long.

There should be a new rule, if you got beat up or stuffed in a locker or dumpster in high school you can't drive expensive cars on TV.

So, this show had tanner the brat, a relatively normal guy I don't recognize, and a stand up comedian? WTF were they thinking?
Why does every American car show have to have tanner foust in it? I'm so sick of him.
I liked the comment on the show about drifting being like the figure skating of car competition.

Right. If the Stig crashes in every episode, its Tracy.

Jeez, the Stig on USA could be Danny McKeever from Fast Lane Driver's School, the group that trains celebs for the race at Long Beach.

Or any number of guys and gals that herald from SoCal. They don't need to pay PT's wages around here.

I wonder if Hurley Haywood or Bobby Rahal was recently looking for a part-time job?

I'd be surprised if they used a Canadian for top gear USA... and you're right, Tracey could never keep his mouth shut.

my guess is Memo Gidley.

I was a little surprised that they didn't make American Stig wear a different color than white.

I assumed it was Tanner, but after looking at the in-car, Paul Tracy is my guess. Also, the test cars were going straight through the course, not sideways.

I was in the audience at the episode 1 taping. Rutledge has the potential to be the star if he's given some more latitude.

It seems obligatory for a lot of people to trash TGUSA, but it might add perspective to compare 15 seasons of the UK show with just one episode to date of the US version. The producers themselves said the first several seasons of the UK show were "****e." FYI, TGUSA is produced and written by the producers of the UK show, so if you need to trash American versions of everything, keep in mind that this one traces its structure and direction to the originators.

That is one bumpy test track, too!

They did so little to build him up as a character, who cares? The first episode was about what I expected, but the lead-in for the Stig was pretty pathetic.

PT is a possibility. The Stig driver is stout in build.

Watch the arm position of the US Stig and then watch (if you can stand it) that horrible 'Battle of the Supercars.' I think PT is the one. Keep in mind, there are several laps and they can edit out all the crashes...
