i LOVE great customer service. LOVE IT!
my high end flashlight took a dump. it doesnt charge anymore. i called the company, and was chatting up the nice lady. she asked me what the torch was or was not doing. i gave her my information and started "weaving" my story angling for a new flashlight. my computer "pinged!" while i was talking to her! she then said, i just sent you a pre-paid shipping label, and a RMA #. send it to us and we will send you a brand new flashlight.
i talked her into exchanging it for a smaller one, but then called back to ask for my bigger (brighter and longer charge), original torch. no problemo! talk about painless. i work in a dark, wet tunnel. i work that thing.

I've had similar great CS from Surefire. =) You pay in part for the name, but you get the service too, which drives the name.

Yea, it is nice.
I ordered a special mount to hang my radar detector from my rear view mirror. No more suction cups. I messed up on the order and received the wrong one. The company mailed out the correct one with return postage for the wrong one. No fuss no muss no charge. ![]()

The only stories I hear about Surefire lights and the company are positive.

For some reason I was thinking you were a civil engineer, not an MD. My bad.

I've had similar experiences with Lutron (hey, it's lighting related). I had one of their Maestro digital dimmers go bad on me. They sent out a replacement with a pre-paid label to send the defective unit back. I had the replacement w/in a few days.

I've had similar experience with Weber metal products with my 23 year-old Performer grill. I don't believe I've ever paid for a replacement part.

USAA has good CS. Verizon is at the bottom of all things evil.

No offense, but you're not working like a pro if you need a flashlight.

On a Porsche related topic John at CCW wheels has unquestionably the best customer service of anyone I've ever met in motorsports and I've met alot.
He just does what he says

Wow, next time I know. I have had more then a few of those thing go out on me. We just eat the $70 dollars and buy them a new one. This is after 5 years of useage. These are low voltage Maestros. I generally stock a couple of those in our office.

I've purchased a few items from Tactical 5.11 (CPL jacket, shirt, etc...) and everything is well worth the cost and customer service is fantastic!
